Videos for Work
Creating videos has always been a passion of mine. I started making videos when I was around 12 years old for friends and family just for fun. I was then able to turn this passion into various job opportunities as I grew older. Here are some examples of the work I’ve done!
Chef’s Table
Podcast Cutdowns
I would watch the podcast episodes before they were released and pick out moments that would be good for short form content to be posted on social media. I would look for funny, meaningful, or informational moments and use those. This is one example from an episode featuring Benny Blanco.
Archival Clips
In addition to creating cutdowns for the podcast I was also in charge of creating archival posts for the platforms featuring clips from the Netflix show “Chef’s Table”. This is an example of an archival clip!
Chef’s Table Talks Trailer
Here is a trailer for the podcast that I helped put together for the team. This video would be shared across multiple platforms to encourage people to give the podcast a chance and see what it is all about!
This cutdown from the podcast is perfect for short-form content, as the clip is funny, easy to digest, and encourages the audience to share with a friend. I chose this one as the podcast was just launching, and it is crucial to grow brand awareness.
This video was perfect for shareability, as the show The Bear is very popular and about cooking. This gives the audience something to compare the conversation to and is easily digestible.
This video gives some context into Benny Blanco’s past and why he has such a love for cooking. I used this clip to introduce him to the page because even though he is a very well-known person, many do not know him for his love of food, and it is very important to convey that love to the audience.
In this video I went for a fun approach. I wanted the audience to ask themselves a question and engage with the clip. I included something that would spark a conversation in the comments so it would help the video perform well!
This is another example of an archival post from the Netflix show Chef’s Table. During this time as we launched the podcast, it was important to me to find archival posts where we could collaborate with past chefs, as this would drive the most engagement. That is exactly what I did with this post!
I would constantly look at the analytics for the videos posted and create more cutdowns for the chefs that performed well and less of the ones whose videos got less engaging. It was important to me that we fully optimized our posting schedule with this data in mind.
Zepplit
Here is an example of a gaming video I made that kept viewers engaged by adding a quick zoom/sound at the beginning to break the scroll cycle and using background music and subtitles to keep the audience interested.
This is an example of a video where the gameplay is the most important thing. The video kept viewers engaged and performed very well due to the fact that the beginning piqued interest and kept retention high throughout the whole thing.
Here is an example of a sponsored video I did with a gaming company. I have done many similar to this where I showcase a game, talk about highlights, and give my opinion on games.
Here is another example of a sponsored video I did for a company. I really enjoy being able to showcase new games to my community as well as work with sponsors!
Many people say hitting your first 100 subscribers is the hardest. I created a channel/mini-series to show that it is a lot easier than people make it seem. This channel hit 100 subscribers in 2 days.
This is an example of how powerful editing and gameplay can be. I did not include a face cam in this video, which some people think is crucial; however, I made sure to include entertaining gameplay as well as small editing tricks to keep the viewer engaged. This video received over 400k views in under 24 hours!
